DR-Z400 Tool Tube Mount

Our tool tube setup is the perfect way to discreetly add some storage to the rear of your DR-Z.

OptionalĀ 12" x3"Ā polycarbonate tool tube with stainless steel hardware. This can be obtained from Amazon if you wish to purchase the bracket only.Ā

This does not work with the factory rear fender guard that has the taillight and blinkers attached. This will need to be deleted to run our tool tube kit.Ā

If you notice we have 2 styles. We are trialing them to see which one is preferred. The Bolt-On style is going to use the mounting brackets attached to the tool tube. This also pushes the tube further away from the bike. This setup is most ideal for mostly street riders. As the heavy abuse offroad can cause the plastic mounting bracket to fatigue and eventually break.

The clamp style is going to be the better option for the bike that sees more off-road time. The clamps offer a more displaced mount. Not placing stress in one particular area. It also allows the tube to be mounted further in, and tucked behind the factory plastic, making it a little more out of harms way in the event of a drop. Lastly, in the event of a drop, the design, and hose clamps will allow the tube to flex slightly rather than just breaking.Ā

The bolt-on style is cut from 1/8" aluminum while the clamp style is cut from 11ga steel.Ā
